Head of Department, Food Division, IKEA, Tokyo, Japan
- To devise and action a department business plan that is clearly understood and effectively communicated to co-workers
- To drive sales and continually seek new business avenues to further growth
- To establish tight budgetary control mechanisms and continually seek to minimalise the store’s exposure to costs
- To create a working culture of togetherness amongst co-workers so that they are fully engaged in the department’s goals
- To lead, motivate and inspire all team members that will create loyalty and high productivity
- To support the store marketing/public relations team in order to plan and implement exciting, fun, innovative promotions and events
- To benchmark competitors and act proactively with fight back campaigns
- To co-ordinate with store management to implement the store business plan and communicate the vision
- To play a big supporting role with head office to action countrywide operational and marketing strategic measures
- To actively promote sound environmental policies that will enable IKEA to be well recognised in this field
- To ensure the department meets all criteria defined within the government food safety regulations
- To assist head office with future expansion projects
